Beamerz is a great place to go when there's a large group of people. If you're only a part of a small group of 3 or 4 people, it's a little expensive and not as fun. However, if you have a large group of friends or a birthday party, it is highly recommended. It's great that they show you your score afterwards. Also, they have some other games like the highly popular Dance Dance Revolution which is a nice when you're waiting for your turn to play.

My boys discovered Laser Tag through Cub Scouts. Beamerz is where the scouts held an outing last year and the boys all really enjoyed it. This is a fairly large place, much larger than the laser tag at the John Dumars Bayou Center. They also offer specials one day a week where the laser tag is half price. Kids are provided with a laser gun and a vest with targets. It is played in a fairly dark room, with some black lights for visibility. They are given printouts of their scores when they are done, showing how many times they were hit and how many shots they made. The boys greatly enjoyed playing there and have gone back without the scouts for more fun. PROS: Large place, lots of fun CONS: Expensive when not part of a special deal
