I've always enjoyed touring Cranbrook with its interesting science exhibits. They frequently have special exhibits, but the displays that are up year after year are also entertaining. This is a great place for field trips or family outings. While I've only had experience with the science center, I understand that Cranbrook is part of an entire complex that includes an art museum and school.

The science museum at Cranbrook is a great learning experience for kids of all ages. I take my toddler there and there is plenty for him to understand. The Bat exhibit is truely unique. THe museum is always very clean and there is always staff walking around so you can ask questions. The grounds of the Cranbrook are gorgeous. It is great just to drive around. Be sure to stop in the gift shop for some unique gifts for children

This is really a great place to take the kids. There are so many great activities and exhibits to get involved with that it's very easy to spend a whole day here. It's definitely worth the money, but there are great deals out there if needed. I recommend taking the whole family as there is something for everyone. If science isn't really your thing, the art museum is amazing as well.
